Five siblings from last year’s S-litter made their debute in working tests at SWeiK’s retrieving trials this weekend. Four out of five handlers entered the trials for the first time too. And what a smashing hit it was, all passed with flying colors!

It’s time to practice and prepare the dogs for the various tasks in practical hunting. The youngsters were eager to try about anything and the experienced ones showed some routine. We had happy dogs and exhausted handlers in the end of the training weekend – as it should be.

He stole my heart and a bag of bones that became the end of him. Mischieving, heart thieving trickster. The kindest dog with the greatest sense of humor. The most powerful hunter I’ve ever had honor to hunt with. The first Weimaraner to become both International working and beauty champion, so unimpressed and cool in every new situation. Stubborn. Confident. Passionate. Charming. And funny.

I miss you buddy. So bad.

 

Snaiper’s S-litter turned 7 months and we gathered for some training in our grounds in Dalarna, where the puppies were raised. 8 out of 11 puppies came to train together, it was a great fun to be reunited and meet everyone again. I was happy to discover that it is still a very even litter with alert, happy and focused puppies with high prey drive. I’m so grateful to all our committed puppy buyers, I hope your hunting buddies turn out the way you are hoping for.

Happy New Year! Evert did great job baying and pushing the wild boars out of the reeds, this time the shooter was also in the right place. Well done Adam and Evert!

A crisp and chilly day hunting pheasants finished this years hunting season. Indy 13,5 and Luke 11 still bring their game and we bagged some pheasants for them, but the day’s true pheasant king was Evert 2,5. I’m so impressed by this young dog that has performed on top level this season in the field trials, already qualifying for the FT champion title. At the same time he is a true versatile hunting dog, baying wild boar and retrieving geese and ducks – whatever hunt is on that day.

Our dog year was not too bad – Myra and Fury were also rewarded with 1st prizes in FT, Ray had her first litter and also entered her first utility test, coming home with an honorable 2nd prize. Ray, Thelma and Myra finished their tracking tests and all gained title SeVCH – Swedish wounded game (blood) tracking champion. Thelma became our second own bred triple champion with this title. We have done a fair amount of hunting with our dogs and puppies have started their training, showing nice potential. Many thanks to all our puppy people! I wish you all a Happy New Year!
