Next pup from our S-litter to pass the wounded game/blood tracking ability test is Signe (Snaiper’s Sol), job well done! Congratulations Ulrika and Signe!
Nova blood tracking champion at 9 months
Huge congratulations to Thomas and Nova (Snaiper’s Supernova) that finished her blood tracking champion title SVCH today with honorary prize! Nova is only 9 months old. Great job guys!
Field training with youngsters
Some of our youngsters, now 9 months came together for some field training in the fields. Many hours of training before they are ready bird dogs, but the will, energy and ability is there. Photographer Maud Matsson.
Luke 6/8 2009-9/2 2021
He stole my heart and a bag of bones that became the end of him. Mischieving, heart thieving trickster. The kindest dog with the greatest sense of humor. The most powerful hunter I’ve ever had honor to hunt with. The first Weimaraner to become both International working and beauty champion, so unimpressed and cool in every new situation. Stubborn. Confident. Passionate. Charming. And funny.
I miss you buddy. So bad.
Puppies training camp
Snaiper’s S-litter turned 7 months and we gathered for some training in our grounds in Dalarna, where the puppies were raised. 8 out of 11 puppies came to train together, it was a great fun to be reunited and meet everyone again. I was happy to discover that it is still a very even litter with alert, happy and focused puppies with high prey drive. I’m so grateful to all our committed puppy buyers, I hope your hunting buddies turn out the way you are hoping for.
Happy New Hunting 2021!
Happy New Year! Evert did great job baying and pushing the wild boars out of the reeds, this time the shooter was also in the right place. Well done Adam and Evert!
Happy New Year!
A crisp and chilly day hunting pheasants finished this years hunting season. Indy 13,5 and Luke 11 still bring their game and we bagged some pheasants for them, but the day’s true pheasant king was Evert 2,5. I’m so impressed by this young dog that has performed on top level this season in the field trials, already qualifying for the FT champion title. At the same time he is a true versatile hunting dog, baying wild boar and retrieving geese and ducks – whatever hunt is on that day.
Our dog year was not too bad – Myra and Fury were also rewarded with 1st prizes in FT, Ray had her first litter and also entered her first utility test, coming home with an honorable 2nd prize. Ray, Thelma and Myra finished their tracking tests and all gained title SeVCH – Swedish wounded game (blood) tracking champion. Thelma became our second own bred triple champion with this title. We have done a fair amount of hunting with our dogs and puppies have started their training, showing nice potential. Many thanks to all our puppy people! I wish you all a Happy New Year!
Myra 1st prize
Myra (Northern Arrow’s Mackmyra) has been rewarded with two 1st prizes and one 2nd prize in FT open class out of 6 entries in total this season. Today it was 0 degrees and zero wind to 1-2 meters per second. Otherwise good conditions (no snow or rain), so some birds out in the fields. Last run of the day – 43 consecutive minutes, still going fast and searching wide, that’s my hard hunting girl! The goal for this season is accomplished, next time FT in elite class.
Duck hunt
Autumn is the best time of the year if you ask our dogs and how better to use it than for hunting. The days are so short now, there is no time for taking pictures during the hunts and when you are finished its already pitch black. Adam with Evert caught some daylight on their latest duck hunt where Evert did a great service retrieving 20 out of 25 shot ducks for the team. Water or land – he’s got it!
Fury 1st prize open class
Fury (Southpaw’s Ottercreek Furiosa) takes her 1st prize FT open class. It was anything but sunshine and easy ride this weekend, the first day there were no dogs to prize out of 12 entries and the second day only three managed to handle the difficult birds. It takes its dog that runs hard enough in the vast rape fields that are dense and almost man high to nail the pheasants – Fury killed it! Not only once but three finds with firm point and beautiful handling of the situation. Congratulations and well done Karin Ryberg! We are so proud of you!
