Weekend with Snaiper’s family, hunting together in Portugal. Lovely to meet all old and new friends and discover that the youngest have become skilled hunters and the oldest still got it! Beautiful experience.

Thelma had a good run today with nice points at Swedish Brittany Club regular field trial and was awarded her second 1st prize in elite class, which qualifies her for the Swedish Field Trial Champion title. Her trial season is now finished and we can enjoy pure hunting with her, which she masters so well.
Snaiper’s Thelma and Snaiper’s Missy entered the first edition of Europacup for Weimaraner in Toscana in Italy last week. Thelma was part of the Swedish team and Missy entered the competition individually as the reserv dog for the team. Both sisters were qualified the first day with VG and ranked 2nd and 1st in their batteries. Thelma was able to repeat her success the second day with another VG with 3rd ranking in her battery. The Swedish team won the deep water retrieve test and the morphological evaluation, 2nd place in the field trials and in total honourable 2nd place – SILVER! I’m very happy and honoured to be a part of the team and given the opportunity to participate in this great event!
Snaiper’s Thelma 1st prize in elite class (field 8, retrieve 10) on SWeiK field trials on Gotland. Gotland is a truly magic place with its wild birds and true to hunting conditions held field trials. The weather conditions were difficult, forsty and foggy mornings with no wind, which is very unusal to Gotland. Thelma had two points, one on pheasant and one on flock of wild partridges, which she handled beautifully. Very happy with her work and pleased with the result!
OtterCreek & Southpaw Jack of All Birds, Evert 5 months, was on his first bird hunt yesterday. He ran for a while with the big dogs, backed and respected their point for a short while, then flushed and chased the birds a bit. Tumbled through ditches and bushes, nothing would stop him! Learning by doing.

Swedish Weimaraner Club annual Club Match was carried out in Alingsås with water and field test, judge Marcus Niklasson Ruhne. We enjoyed a sunny and warm autumn weekend together with our Weimaraner friends on beautiful grounds with a lot of game. Snaiper’s Thelma had the highest score in the field test with 7 points in elite class and won the title “the Field Master”
We had some wonderful days in the fields, this time Thelma and Ray made their debut at the international field trials in Poland. Hot weather, no wind and a lot of game on the grounds made it difficult, but there were also a lot of birds and our girls proved to be excellent bird finders. Thelma was awarded with two 3rd Excellent (1st prize with 3rd placement) and Ray with 4th Excellent. I’m grateful to have given the opportunity to take part of these trials where really good and high level dogs are presented by the professionals, to watch them work and be inspired.
Evert 4 months
Myra 4 months
Happy to present and welcome new stars to Snaiper’s kennel, OtterCreek & Southpaw’s Jack of All Birds (Evert) and Northern Arrow’s Mackmyra (Myra). Evert an import from USA, from the breeder of Ray – Brandon Sims. Myra is an import from Finland, daughter to our own Luke. Lovely and lively puppies, very excited to follow!
Ray 5 months
Exactly 2 years ago, at the age of 5 months, was Ray’s first partridge hunt. She backed Thelma on point and their first partridge was shot. Since then she has developed to a nice bird dog that handles her birds well. This weekend she entered field trials in elite class for the very first time and was awarded with 2x 2nd prize. Our little pocket rocket getting more experience!
Ray was selected to represent Sweden at Eurocup for Weimaraners in Italy in the end of October. I’m so thrilled, but so much work to do!
