Partridge hunt in Portugal

Thelma, 10 years, still got it

A lovely weekend in Portugal on partridge hunting with our puppy buyers and good friends, Tiina and Kalervo. Our Thelma has moved to Portugal for real, she turns 11 this summer and is really enjoying both the warmer climate during the wintertime the many bird hunting opportunities that she is given. We had a great opportunity to hunt together once again, an excellent game finder. It was extra fun to see and hunt together with Tiina and Targa, who already at the age of 9 months presented plenty of opportunities. Thank you for the generous dinner!

Otto 1st prize in Field Trials

Congratulations to Adam with our import Otto (Southern Mist Marksman), 2 years old, who took 1st prize in open class field trial. Otto has mostly hunted deer and wildboar this autumn, it’s great to see that he was quickly able to switch to bird hunting and received high score for his work. He presented three excellent hunting situations over the day, both on partridge and pheasants. I appreciate this quality in Weimaraners, true allround hunting dogs that excell in any kind of hunting acitivity – bird hunting, retrieving, driven hunts, tracking shot game – whatever you need to get done.

 

Late season pheasants

     

Pheasant hunting in late autumn requires its dog and its shooter. The dogs did great job and offered us many nice opportunities, the pheasants had many strategies to dodge the shots, we still managed to bag some of them. Thanks for a great weekend!

Grouse hunt in the north

Grouse hunt in the north in Kittelfjäll mountains was again an amazing start of the shooting season. It was a good year for grouse, the dogs worked hard and gave us a lot of opportunities, we had great weather and company. So grateful for these days!

Vilma

Vilma (Gamepoint Sookailude Laul) entered my life unexpectedly, she immediately and completely stole my heart. Vilma is a granddaughter of our champion Snaiper’s Luke, there are many legendary dogs in her pedigree, but what stroke me the most is her character, she is everything I’m looking for in a dog. Thank you for trusting me, Killu Ahi.

Hurricane and Holiday are on fire!

So happy and proud of our girls that have shown some skills in field trials on Gotland last weekend. Congratulations to Elisabeth with Snaiper’s Holiday (Holly) 2nd prize in open class and Madelene with Snaiper’s Hurricane (Rory) 1st prize in open class both on Saturday and Sunday! Wow!

New titles for Snaiper’s Hannibal

Snaiper’s Hannibal (Rudi) came on a quick visit to Sweden and managed to track himself to the Swedish game tracking champion and collected another three new champion titles the same weekend. The 1st prize in FT open class qualified him to Swedish, Norwegian and Danish show champion titles. Huge congratulations to Tiina, what an achievement!
